Because small actions can create big ripples of change.

At The Vibe, we believe you have the power to make a positive difference for people, the planet, and progress. It’s not about waiting for someone else to take action—it’s about stepping up, right here in Wingfield and Stowford. The world is always changing and evolving and as a result, we have to keep up with the change. You can lead the way!

Whether you care about the environment, helping others, or building a brighter future for your community, this is your guide to getting involved.

01

Eco Challenges: Take on the Mission!

Picking Up Trash

Challenge yourself to take on an Eco Mission. These simple but impactful activities help protect our environment and create a greener, healthier Wiltshire.

Example Challenge: Reduce Your Waste

  1. The Plastic Swap Game: Try swapping out single-use plastics for reusable alternatives (like water bottles, lunch boxes, and bags).

  2. DIY It: Create something new from something old—turn ripped jeans into a tote bag or upcycle an old jar into a plant pot.

  3. Waste-Free Week: Keep a “waste diary” and see how much rubbish you can avoid creating for a week.

💡 Did You Know? If everyone in the UK used a reusable water bottle for just one year, we’d save 340 million plastic bottles from going to landfill.

👉 Resources to Get Started:

  • Refill App: Find places to refill your water bottle for free.

  • Terracycle: Find recycling programs for tricky items like crisp packets and makeup containers.

Case Study:
Amy, 16, from Wiltshire started collecting litter along the Avon River during her dog walks. In just one month, she removed over 50 bags of rubbish, inspiring her friends to join her. “It feels great to see the area looking clean and know I’m helping wildlife!”

02

Wild Waters: Dive Into Action

Our local rivers, streams, and waterways are a vital part of Wiltshire’s ecosystem—but they need your help!

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Wild Swim Adventures: Gather your friends and take a refreshing dip at Farleigh Hungerford’s river swimming spot. Bonus: it’s great for your mental health!

  • Clean Up Crew: Organise or join a group to clear litter from local waterways to prevent harm to wildlife.

  • Stream Guardians: Learn how pollution impacts rivers and what you can do to protect them.

💧 Protect Wiltshire’s Water:

  • Use eco-friendly products: What you pour down the drain can end up in rivers—choose natural cleaning products or shampoos.

  • Watch what you flush: Keep wet wipes, fats, and other blockages out of our waterways.

👉 Learn More & Volunteer:
