Village Fete Stocks - 10 min slot

Service Description

Step up, take your turn… and prepare to get gloriously soggy (for a good cause)! Have a laugh, rally your friends, and raise money for the village by braving the Wingfield Stocks! Each fearless volunteer takes a 10-minute turn between 2:30pm and 4:30pm, locked in place while friends, family (and the occasional cheeky neighbour!) take aim. Don’t worry, it’s all good-natured fun. Only soft, wet sponges are thrown, and you’ll be fully kitted out with protective eyewear and a waterproof poncho, so you can enjoy every moment (and every splash!) safely. Get sponsored to take part, challenge your friends to beat your total, and watch the laughter build as the sponges start flying. Spectators can join in too by donating to throw a sponge or two, so no one escapes the fun! Every penny raised—through sponsorship and sponge-throwing, goes straight back into the village, supporting local projects and helping care for our beautiful 700-year-old church.
